Natural makeup is definitely a trend that is here to stay. The look focuses on natural beauty so skip the intense highlighters, instagram brows, and heavy contouring.
So, here’s an easy natural makeup look that you can do in 10 minutes.
The Natural Makeup Tutorial
First, start with a clean and moisturized base. Then start spot concealing areas of discoloration with your favorite concealer. I love the NARS soft matte concealer and the Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer because it gives the skin a natural finish. Now, use the same concealer to subtly highlight the high points of your face: the center of your forehead, bridge of your nose, under your eyes, and center of your chin. Then, blend with a sponge or brush.
Once your face has a natural and radiant glow, it’s time to define the face with some brows. Use a brow pencil to subtly fill in gaps and a tinted brow gel to add definition.
Finish off the eyes with a coat of mascara to add length and volume. Personally, I love the Too Face Better Than Sex mascara because it adds volume while also separating my lashes for a gorgeous feathery look. Plus, defined lashes help open up the eyes, which makes you look more awake and well rested.
After concealing imperfections and defining your brows, it’s time to add some color. Use a blush with a subtle sheen for a healthy glow from within look. I love the Milani baked blush in Luminoso or the NARS orgasm blush for a peachy glow.
With a quick swipe of lip-gloss, your look is complete. My current favorite is the NYX butter glosses in tiramisu. Lip-gloss is definitely my go-to product on quick makeup days because you can apply it without a mirror. And lip-gloss gives your lips a hint of color to help brighten up your face.
The key to natural makeup is to look fresh and radiant. So, less is definitely more.
