Hidden Gem: Tennessee Mountain Paintball Park

DID SOMEONE SAY TENNESSEE MOUNTAINS?

Hey Darlings! I’m back with another hidden gem. As you all know the kids and I took a quick road trip to Tennessee a few weekends ago. We had an amazing time exploring different places that we’d never visited on all of our past trips. We spent on day at Dollywood which was simply amazing. As a mom of boys you often times find yourself involved in the craziest adventures but at the end of the day it’s always about the experience.

We found another hidden gem that is sure to be a family favorite. The Tennessee Mountain Paintball Park facility is definitely way up in the mountains. If you don’t remember anything else from this post please remember to TAKE THE MAIN PAVED ROADS! Lord knows that I didn’t follow my own advice! The boys and I went up some of the most scariest unpaved backwoods roads to get to the facility. Why? Because Mario, Jr. failed to pack a long sleeve shirt so I had to make a quick stop to the local thrift store to grab him one. Thank God there was one open because this was Labor Day Weekend. I was praying so much because at one point I seriously thought that we were going to flip over the mountain driving up the unpaved roads. I used the paved roads leaving (Lesson Learned).

Upon our arrival the kids signed in and were given a quick overview of the course, how to load the paintball guns, where to shoot fellow team mates and the signals to give when you are ready to quit. I could truly appreciate that this park was in a very controlled area and the kids were instructed not to shoot anyone in the back. The rules stated that you had to be within your opponents eyesight or a minimum of 10 feet away. This eliminates the risk of anyone getting hurt. This is definitely not a rule at many paint ball facilities. The Tennessee Mountain Paintball Park definitely gave you the full illusion of “FRIDAY THE 13th meets CHILDREN OF THE CORN dating CHAINSAW MASSACRE!” Imagine entering a scary forest where you simply go to war on your opponents. Let’s be honest. I opted out of playing and thank God that the boys Daddy was there because Momma wasn’t about that life.

The kids headed out on their first obstacle course which consisted of large muddy hills (Mario Jr. fell several times LOL), the space wasn’t as open as the next obstacle course and enough ground area to maneuver around to elude the opposing team. The second obstacle course was a much larger space with a trail for the kids to follow versus the first course. There were also barriers on the course that included windows and a target area for the kids to practice their shooting skills.

Mario Jr. stated that “his experience was very fun because they had to work together as a team in efforts to get to the other side of the obstacle courses to capture the flag. There was team building because we had to depend on each other (They just met a day ago). The muddy hills were very slippery and my new friends had to help me a few times in order to stay on the course. It was a great experience working alongside others to accomplish a common goal. I would recommend this paintball park to all of my friends.”

Clearly the boys had an amazing time! You can truly tell by the reaction on their faces and the amount of damage that was done to their bodies and clothes. Please keep in mind that wearing long sleeve shirts is highly recommended along with long pants and old shoes. We highly recommend visiting the Tennessee Mountain Paintball Park! If you’re a married couple or dating and you just wanna let off some steam definitely head here and shoot each other! LOL!
