Johnsonville Sausage Hosts Firehouse Challenge with Special Judge Atlanta Falcon Desmond Trufant

Johnsonville is hosting an Atlanta firehouse challenge to honor the men and women who dedicate their lives to protecting the community. The challenge, a crosstown cook-off, will feature a pair of firehouses competing for the title of best chili or stew recipe. Join me for this amazing challenge scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 20 at Firehouse Station 19, located at 1063 North Highland Ave. NE. Its FREE to the public!  Atlanta Falcons standout cornerback Desmond Trufant will be in attendance as a guest judge from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.

The competing stations, Stations 19 and 30, will create and cook their own unique chili or stew recipe featuring Johnsonville Sausage and a seasonal vegetable. The incorporation of other local ingredients is greatly encouraged. The recipes will be judged by event attendees along with Trufant, and the winning house will receive a special Johnsonville trophy.
