Hey Darlings! Guess what? Today is the official day of the 2019 Atlanta Food & Wine Festival and I’m super excited. The kickoff event on last night was so much fun and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for tonight. As many of you know the event is happening here in Georgia which means that the weather is bipolar and they have a new location this year so here’s 5 Things To Consider When Attending The Atlanta Food & Wine Festival.
#1 WEAR COMFORTABLE CLOTHES AND SHOES
This year the event is happening in the Historic Old Fourth Ward Park so that means flatland and tons of walking. Definitely not suitable for fancy dresses and suits. Save those for the inside brunches, lunches and dinners. Wearing something super comfortable in this humid weather is your best chances of staying cool. I highly suggest very comfortable shoes because you’ll definitely be doing a lot of walking.
#2 BRING A EXTERNAL CHARGER
You already know that their will hundreds of amazing Chefs from all over the world with beautiful plated dishes. Pictures are a must! Keep in mind that the event is outside so there may not be any access to chargers so having an external one is perfect.
#3 STAY HYDRATED
Yes there will be so many delicious drinks to consume but its very important to stay hydrated with water. There are several stations set up with water so please take advantage of grabbing a bottle water. Stick one in your bag for later. Trust me it doesn’t get cool until later in the evening so you’ll be in the heat until that good ole Georgia Breeze comes.
#4 UTILIZE THE MAP PROVIDED
Darling remember there’s a ton of tasting tents to visit so it will work in your favor to utilize the map that way you can strategically plan out your day. Remember a great strategy will allow you to visit all of your favorite Chefs and brands.
#5 TAKE A UBER & HAVE FUN
Hey it’s the freaking Atlanta Food & Wine Festival! Why are you driving and paying to park? Get dressed, let your hair down and have a freaking GREAT TIME! Eat tons and drink merrily! Hey I know that I AM!
