Hey Darlings! It’s your favorite Southern Belle back with another Hidden Gem. This time I headed down to The Battery Atlanta located in the Suntrust Park to finally celebrate my great friend and sisters Birthday. Let’s not even discuss the fact her birthday was in April and its super hard to run down your friends when they’re also entrepreneurs.
Yard House is an American sports bar chain, with more than 80 locations across the United States, mostly located west of the Mississippi River. Founded in 1996 in Long Beach, California by Steele Platt and co-founders Tom Yelenick, William Wollrab and Steve Reynolds, it now operates out of Orlando, Florida.
It’s a tradition for our Bonus Mom, Gwen along with my sisters Beverly and Arnita to celebrate each others birthday. We have done this for as long as I have known them. Every birthday is celebrated at a different location and in a different way. Our Bonus Mom is really great at selecting some amazing places. We celebrated Nita’s Birthday this year at Yard House. I’ve been to the one in Atlantic Station before but I honestly love the one in The Battery Atlanta. The area vibe is amazing on the weekend. The area was filled with people from all walks of life, family, kids, husbands, wives and friends. It was definitely a different change up for me on the weekend. I hadn’t visited the area in over a year. Yard House is literally on the strip. Upon our arrival we were seated and ordered a few cocktails. Ya’ll know that I asked if they had Savannah Bourbon which they didn’t so I ordered my favorite Amaretto Sour, Nita & Beverly had a Sangria and Ma had her classy Lemon Drop.
Since we were heading out to go bowling we all agreed that as large as their appetizers were that we would just do a Tapa Style lunch. Girl! Listen sister was full. We ordered Lobster, Crap & Artichoke dip, Grilled Korean BBQ Beef, California Roll, Shitake Garlic Noodles and Cesar Salad.
OMG! Everything was delicious and our waitress Tulyn was a darling! We found out later that she was actually training. Like seriously? Who the heck knew? She was moving and shaking like she owned it. We will definitely be asking for her when we visit again.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY NITA!
If you’re ever in the Atlanta area and your looking for a great place to dine and have fun definitely check out The Battery Atlanta.
