Hi Beauties! I wanted to share with you an amazing show that is taking place right now in Atlanta. Not in Atlanta, no worries because they are touring all over the world. The new Cirque du Soleil’s LUZIA is one of the most amazing shows that I have had the opportunity to attend. The show is amazing from start to finish. I loved the way that from the moment that show starts to the end the story line was amazing! Luzia showcased a side of art that can only be explained by actually attending a live show. It’s definitely perfect for a Girls Night Out, which is what my friend I did but it’s also great for a Date Night with your BAE! Imagine taking a walk in a waking dream of all of Mexico’s culture. I encourage you to grab your tickets and take a walk on the LUZIA side!
What is LUZIA?
LUZIA – A waking dream of Mexico
Through a series of grand visual surprises and breathtaking acrobatic performances, LUZIA takes audiences on a surrealistic journey filled with wonders, playfulness and striking artistry. Smoothly passing from an old movie set to the ocean to a smoky dance hall or an arid desert, LUZIA cleverly brings to the stage multiple places, faces and sounds of Mexico taken from both tradition and modernity. Rich in awe-inspiring moments, LUZIA enchants by incorporating rain into acrobatic and artistic scenes – a first for a Cirque du Soleil touring production.
With mesmerizing and refreshing acrobatic performances, LUZIA brings traditional and contemporary circus disciplines to a whole new level. Cyr Wheel artists perform the unprecedented feat of rolling and spinning under the rain, while an aerialist suspended from a Trapeze flies and twirls through pouring showers. Hoop Diving is taken onto gigantic treadmills, expanding exponentially the speed and amount of daring leaps executed. Jaw-dropping highlights include a Guinness World Record holder juggling seven pins at breakneck speeds, a male contortionists skillfully twisting his body in the world’s most unimaginable positions, a powerful Aerial Straps specialist defying the laws of gravity at the center of cenote (natural sinkhole), and two football (soccer) freestylers deftly mixing street dance with mind-blowing ball manipulations.
The new touring show, which integrates innovative and technically challenging elements of water (which include a rain curtain), dynamic sounds and songs sung in Spanish, and dazzling physical feats, will run from Sept. 14-Nov. 19, 2017.
