We are all in our season transition stage as we come out of the winter months and head into Spring and with that comes Spring-Cleaning. When we typically think about Spring Cleaning, we thing about cleaning our homes and closets but lets not forget about our vanity needs because we need to add this area to the list. The change of seasons can cause wear and tear on our skin so we need to take the time to nourish and exfoliate our skin and its also a great time to combat any acne issues that we may have noticed.
The IlluMask allows you to ditch the expensive salon visits and treat your skin at home with clinically proven LED light masks. The daily blue light and red light therapy kills bacteria and stimulates skin cell healing and production. This technology aids in reducing blemishes and lines while making the skin is brighter, clearer, firmer and smoother for a radiant complexion that glows. The secret to clear skin is to treat the whole face to prevent breakouts before they begin. Using the Illumask Anti-Acne Light Therapy Mask for 15 minutes every day will dramatically reduce the presence of acne and help control future breakouts before they get started.
Although I don’t have a moderate case of acne at times I do sometimes have a mild case and it states on the box that its suggested usage is for those that have either mild or moderate acne. The usage was very simple and easy. Let’s take a look at the IlluMask:
The IlluMask is a very light weight mask that has a viewing slot in case you want to look out while you’re having your treatment. The mask also has an eye frame, eye shield, power cord, lights, power jack, controller port, power button and a session counter. The instructions are very easy to follow.
- Connect the Mask to the Controller
- Wash and Dry your face prior to treatment to remove oil and makeup.
- Open the over-ear arms and put on IlluMask like you would a pair of glasses.
- Press and hold the power button for one second to begin the treatment. Relax
- IlluMask will turn off automatically after 15 minutes.
Note that after each session the counter will display how many sessions you have remaining. The IlluMask initially comes with thirty (30) sessions. I have only used my IlluMask a few times because I have what they would consider a very mild case of acne where there are a few pimples or white heads that periodically appear on my face from time to time. Since using the IlluMask I have noticed that I haven’t had as much of a breakout as I would normally see on my face. While I wore the IlluMask I was sitting up in my bed watching television and working on blog post basically going about my normal schedule. Please keep in mind that the instructions state that you should not share your mask with others. I assume that’s a precaution for safety purposes. All in all I have thus far been satisfied with the IlluMask. I will continue with my sessions and do a follow-up post to let you know my thoughts at the end of my sessions.
