Hotlanta came out on this weekend in Ninety Degree weather to show its support to Steve Harvey for moving his Neighborhood Awards formerly known as the Hoodie Awards here. If the City wasn’t prepared they soon became prepared because people came from all over to attend and the highlight of the event was of course Ford Blue Carpet. Everyone who was anyone was spotted on the carpet. The Neighborhood Awards brought out many A-list Celebrities and crowds of spectators who cheered with excitement during the festivities. Spectators crowded the streets around the barricades in hopes to get a glimpse, selfie or photo of their favorite celebrity.
This particular blue carpet will forever remain near and dear to my heart because its my official first carpet coverage under my media outlet which is amazing. Since this was my first experience one never knows what to expect except the golden rule. Wear flats. The second golden rule is to arrive early so that you can stand on your outlet name placement because if you’re late then you are out of luck! Luckily for me after years of working in marketing and project management I had learned the ins and outs of the business early on and was well prepared. The moment was soon on hand and as the nominees and celebrities began to arrive the only thing one could see if you were not in place was elbows, arms and camera raised in the air. I was blessed to get some really great photos. Check them out below:
