My family received complimentary admission to Fun Spot to facilitate this review. All opinions expressed here are my own!
Orlando, Florida has so many amazing attractions for families to enjoy during Spring Break but perhaps one of their best attractions is Fun Spot. My family and I visited a few years ago and I actually stayed to a time share right next door to Fun Spot last October and never really observed the park. Perhaps I didn’t notice because I was traveling on blogger business and I was minus the kiddies. The kids and I decided to head over to the Orlando Fun Spot. Upon driving up to Fun Spot the park didn’t appear to be big at first glance so once we received our arm bands the kids headed off to get on the rides of their choice.
In case you’re not familiar with Fun Spot here is some valuable information about the attraction park:
- Fun Spot has two locations: Orlando & Kissimmee
- Unlimited Armbands can be used at both locations on the day of purchase
- Fun Spot has two of the tallest Sky Coasters In The World
- Fun Spot Orlando has the only Wooden Roller Coaster, White Lightening
- Fun Spot Named “Best Family Entertainment Center” in the USA by IAAPA (International Association of Amusement Parks & Attractions
- Free Parking, Admission & WiFi
The beginning of our day at Fun Spot was mainly spent on the Bumper Kars, Quad Helix, Bumper Boats , Conquest & The Commander. My eight-year-old particularly lived on the Bumper Kars for at least an hour, seriously. I had to pry him away to show him the Bumper Boats and then we spent another fifteen minutes there as he rode over and over again. My twelve-year-old was in go-kart heaven on the Quad Helix & Commander. I guess he forgot that he had a go-kart at home or perhaps it was the rush of having competition to race against that excited him. Needless to say his need for speed was apparent and he ran from one track to the other. What I loved especially about Fun Spot is there was minimum wait in line for the kids and no worries about a fast past (skip the line) like at the other parks plus Fun Spot is affordable. Can you imagine being on vacation with more than three kids and you’re looking for reasonable fun yet entertaining things to do with your kids without a price tag of $140-200 per person? We’ll Fun Spot has the solution for you so what are you waiting for? Fun Spot is a must for your next trip to Orlando!
While I attempted to pry my youngest from the Bumper Kars so that we could head over to the kiddie area there was a small kid that wasn’t being attended properly by his parents and hit his arm. I quickly helped the little one as his parents ran from another area and we soon discovered that he was okay. I think he was more scared from our screams than being hurt. I noticed Horace whom I later learned was one of the leads at Fun Spot rush over with an ice pack for the little boy and asked his parents if he was okay. Once he was assured that all was well I then watched him bring the little one an ice cream back. I thought to myself, WOW what an amazing staff member. I had watched him an hour earlier hustle and bustle around the park ensuring that everyone was in their locations, lunch breaks were taken, rides were in working order and picking up the tiniest piece of trash off the ground to ensure the park remained cleaned. My family and I travel a lot and I have observed so many places where the staff doesn’t care and Horace was simply a breath of fresh air. I ran him down to take a picture because he needs to recognized. Great Job Horace!
Once I was able to get my little one to leave the Bumper Kars we headed down to the middle area of the park where we found the kiddie area. Oh Boy! That’s when he discovered the Tea Cups, Scooby Doo Obstacle Course, Fun Slide and the Sea Serpent Roller Coaster. Needless to say that he was in heaven. It was here that I encountered more amazing Fun Spot Staff: Erin, Michelle, Savannah & Madison. I was so impressed with the manner in which the staff treated each and every guest. I also noticed that on every ride they all repeated the same phrase before the start of a ride “1, 2, 3, Safe, Clean Fun”. When I say every time, I mean every time. I always pay attention to detail and the staff at Fun Spot put me in the mind of the exceptional service that you receive at Chick-fil-A. The staff is always pleasant, friendly and their to ensure that you have the best experience and that’s exactly what we had at Fun Spot.
One glance at the park one would think that the park only had one side but then we went to grab a cup for $6 bucks which allows you to get unlimited soda refills and discovered another side to the park. I felt like a kid in the candy store and so did the kids. They went wild. On the other side my kids discovered their second loves which become the Carousel (8-year-old), White Lightening which happens to be the only wood roller coaster in Orlando, Rip Curl and Freedom Flyer. We met our next set of amazing staff: Jan, Veron & Brandon (who I learned was also a lead). I had an opportunity to chat with Jan and as a person who has worked in sales & marketing this dude definitely needs to be in sales. He was very resourceful for so many visitors in the park. I observed how he helped each and every one of them.
We stayed in the park for over six hours so that can attest to how much fun the kids had at Fun Spot! The kids and I will be back in Orlando next month and we will indeed be heading over to Fun Spot for a full day of fun. I have an insider for my readers. We visited Gatorland while in Orlando(Click Here) and I learned that Fun Spot & Gatorland are joining forces to bring Gator Spot to the Fun Spot location. How awesome is that? Awesome Sauce! It’s another great reason to visit Fun Spot when you’re in Orlando!
See you next time we’re in Orlando!
