Harry Potter fans from all over the world have been anticipating the celebration of the upcoming “Harry Potter” film series that’s coming to HBO! Potter heads are either ordering HBO, the premium cable network or glad that they’re current subscribers. I can definitely vouch that I AM HAPPY! So whats the BIG NEWS?
HBO has selected threes cites: Atlanta, Boston and Denver to host “Hogwarts House Challenges” where potter heads can come out and participate in both trivia and challenges. Imagine being taken into a mini version of Hogwarts with thousands of fellow Harry Potter fans. This past week I was invited out to experience the first stop on the tour. The moment that I stepped foot out of my SUV I knew that I was in for a surprise. Upon walking in the door I was instantly greeted by Magicians and Harry Potter. Trust me I was in awe! The depth of their imagination when getting into character was amazing!
Listen! HBO thought of absolutely everything! There were even original props including some of the following from the Harry Potter films:
- Lucius Malfoy’s “Caught” poster
- Horace Slughorn’s Hourglass
- Tom Riddle’s diary with Basilisk fang
- Bellatrix Lestrange’s Dagger
- “Magical Drafts and Potions” textbook
The event kicked off with a reception for the participants followed by teams proudly taking their proper places within their assigned houses. WHICH HOUSE WOULD YOU JOIN?

Participants all have the opportunity to refresh their Harry Potter knowledge by heading to HBO GO, HBO NOW and HBO on Demand. As teams began to get ready for the games to begin they enjoyed one another and enjoyed delicious bites. The host announced that games would be starting and everyone prepared themselves for an amazing night filled with trivia, great food, drinks and company.
Prizes will be awarded at each event for best costume, best team photo and so much more. The Hogwarts House Challenges are powered by Wink Back, Inc. and the next stops are Boston on January 25th and Denver on January 31st. Hurry there’s only limited number of tickets available on HBO’s Facebook page in the coming days.
