MAZDA TOYOTA PARTNERSHIP WILL CREATE THOUSANDS OF JOBS IN ALABAMA

Hey Dolls! I had the pleasure of attending another amazing Lunch & Learn with my auto club. This months meeting was a tad bit different, instead of viewing the newest fleet of cars we were provided inside information on the ALL NEW MAZDA TOYOTA PARTNERSHIP. Yes Dolls you heard me correct! Isn’t that exciting? I’m definitely here for this amazing partnership.

Recently the first shovel of dirt was turned to at the sprawling site that will be home of Alabama’s next auto assembly plant – a $1.6 billon facility being built by Mazda Toyota Manufacturing USA that will produce 300,000 vehicles annually, beginning in 2021. This jointly owned-and-operated automotive production plant will be housed in the Limestone County portion of Huntsville.

We learned that the new assembly plant will produce the next-generation Toyota Corolla, which recently made its debut in California, and a yet-to-be-revealed Mazda crossover model. I’m so excited test drive both of them as soon as they’re available. The facility is conveniently located just miles away from a Toyota engine plant that currently employs 1,400 people and produces more than 700,000 engines annually. The automaker has invested nearly $1 billion in the Huntsville plant, after repeated expansions. Governor Ivey welcomed the Mazda-Toyota partnership to Alabama’s growing automotive manufacturing sector. Jobs at the new plant will pay annual salaries averaging $50,000.

This months Lunch was hosted at Barcelona Wine Bar located at 1085 Howell Mill Road here in midtown Atlanta. I absolutely love the ambiance of the restaurant and the entire vintage feel. The decor was very vintage, the staff and food was amazing.
