On November 20th Six Flags Over Georgia kicked off their Holiday In The Park event with their annual Media/Blogger/VIP event. One can only imagine how amazing the park was going to look especially when you have the opportunity to see the park transform from the Summer Season to Fright Night and now Holiday In The Park. Honestly we had no idea what to expect but I can honestly say that Six Flags Over Georgia truly out did themselves. We were greeted and welcomed to the park where we enjoyed refreshments, spice rum cider and hot chocolate topped with whip cream. Yummy!
Six Flags Over Georgia is now home to the most wonderful wintertime festival of all. The Holiday In The Park® debuts November 21. Holiday in the Park features more than one million LED lights, 24 world-class rides, spectacular Christmas trees, exclusive holiday shows, artificial snow and 13 dazzling holiday-themed sections of the park.
This was our first year attending the event and the kids and I by far coin this as one of our favorite events. The park is definitely a place to create amazing Christmas memories. Just imagine Six Flags totally transformed into a Winter Wonderland/ North Pole.
This year Six Flags Over Georgia has four new holiday traditions and more thrilling roller coasters that will debut for Holiday in the Park, including:
- Holiday City, a newly-themed section of the park in GOTHAM City featuring spectacular green and purple lights, a 25 foot Christmas tree with 200 brightly lit Batman candles, a light string Christmas tree standing 40 feet tall, and five of the park’s most popular rides including BATMAN: The Ride;
- Magic of the Season, a state-of-the-art light show through a tunnel of holiday wonder, featuring 7,500 glowing LED lights and the story of holiday magic at Six Flags Over Georgia;
- Mistletoe Mansion, featuring dozens of mistletoes strung across the midway, more than 100,000 lights and chandeliers outside the famous Monster Mansion attraction for the most beautiful outdoor holiday ball of all in Georgia; and
- GloHill, another newly-themed section of the park, featuring a walk-through immersive experience with hundreds of glowing light sticks into Holiday City, where guest-favorite holiday rides await.
Returning in this year are 10 guest-popular attractions including A Main Street Christmas with a 100,000 light canopy entrance, Retro Christmas USA, A Georgia Christmas and more. When you’re in the park be sure to head over to the Snow Globe and actually become a part of your very own Holiday Globe and be sure to catch the stage performance of “Because Its Christmas” which was simply amazing. The cast was amazing and extremely talented.
