Hey Darlings! I’ve been spending the last few months experimenting with different products and brands to see what works great for my skin. I rarely find amazing products that not only works well for African American skin. I was recently introduced to The Organic Skin Co. and their amazing founder Megan. I admired the fact that their stance is Ethical, First and Always. That means the world to me because it has been my mission for the past two years to use products that are made with as many natural and or organic ingredients as possible.
The Organic Skin Co has made it their commitment to save the planet by using organic and natural ingredients so pure that literally make your skin sing. Trust me I heard my skin sing! I love that the brand wants everyone who ever encounters their products to fall in love with wearing them while glowing with colors that pop! Lord their brand messages and packaging are top notch. The Organic Skin Co stated “And we want to make products that have some soul, that embody those things we all so love about makeup and skincare; things like confidence, optimism, and – when the timing is right – just a little bit of sass.” Did I mention that their also turning the tide against animal cruelty, specifically animal testing of cosmetics. This is a brand that I would love to support and work alongside.
I‘m Megan, and I’m the founder of The Organic Skin Co.. Our brand develops vegan, organic, natural skin care products and color cosmetics, and we never test on animals. Period. I’ve noticed that cruelty-free formulation is an area you’ve covered in your reporting, and so we’re excited to bring our brand to your attention.
Perhaps I’m an optimist. But I think that the world is waking up to the fact that animal testing of cosmetics is not merely cruel—it isn’t valid scientifically. Can we have a conversation about the Good Oil? Let me start off by saying that my face immediately fell in love with The Organic Skin Co’s Good Oil. My face felt alive the very minute that I added a few drops to my face. I have had my fair share of spending lots of money in expensive spas as well as being hosted and this oil reminds me of those memorable moments. If you’re looking for a way to pamper yourself at home then I highly recommend making and investment in their Good Oil. It’s literally luxury all packaged up in an adorable bottle. The amazing A luxury combination of supercritical extracts and pure organic oils, helps soften and refresh, rejuvenate and repair. I use my oil nightly by simply massaging a few drops into my face and within minutes my skin sends me a love letter.
If you’re in the market for a great primer I would definitely say give The Organic Skin Care Co. Primp N’ Primer a try. I love that you can select between rose gold and lunar. I had the opportunity to try the lunar because as an African America woman I use prefer a white, off white or opaque color. It’s very important to me that each time I create a look that I always achieve great results. This is that primer. I can attest to this being one of the lightest primers yet it makes my face feel so amazing and upon research I learned that their primer is very rich in antioxidants, restorative oils and revitalizing supercritical extracts. I’m not a veteran in the makeup world but more of a newbie and I love how the Primp N’ Primer flows effortlessly with my makeup application.
Lastly, I will admit that I love my lippies and although I am new to the makeup world I always have to have the perfect lip gloss or lipstick. For clarity I don’t like glassy looking lip glosses.
