Fashion: 3 Fall Trends You Have To Try

According to my calendar, fall is officially here and I want to indulge myself with candles, cozy sweaters, and warm pumpkin spice lattes but the weather in RVA doesn’t agree. We’ve had nothing but 80 degree weather with rain pouring down every other day. To get me ready for fall, I decided to watch some runway shows and put together some outfits. So, here are the 3 Fall Trends You Have to Try!

"Fall Fashion" "Fashion"

The first Fall trend is the ever-so-popular Menswear trend. This trend has been popular for at least three Fall seasons now. The menswear trend is popular because of it looks effortlessly polished and sophisticated.  Pointed Oxford shoes are a great and easy way to incorporate the menswear trend in to your everyday wardrobe.  Or you can try a pair of slim fitting slacks with a short sleeved button up.  With these two combinations, you’ll be dressed for work and ready to strut down the runway.

The second trend is the wide leg trousers. These pants were first spotted on Alexander Wang’s runway show and has been a hit ever since.  Wide leg trousers can be intimidating to style but with a simple button up top or even a crop top, these trousers can look polished and chic.

The third Fall trend is the cool and chic 70’s mod style. The boxy silhouettes are chic and sophisticated. You can style a simple 70’s mod dress with a pair of heels or a great pair of flats.  I love the 70’s mod style because it’s simple and chic.  Plus, it gives you a nice break from those super tight body-con dresses.

Fall is my favorite season and I cannot wait till I can layer these chic outfits under a classic trench-coat or a cool anorak.  But until then, I’ll just light some candles and sip my chai tea latte, enjoying as much of fall as I can.
