5 HOMEOPATHIC REMEDIES FOR MIGRAINES

Hey it’s Friday and this post basically wasn’t going to happen but since I made a promise to myself that I would write a blog entry a day the show must go on. Many of you may not be aware but I suffer from really bad migraines. It’s pretty much been this way since I was a teenager. As a child they started out as headaches then grew into migraines. The norm for me is I’ll wake up with a slight one and throughout the day it grows until I’m forced to simply take a nap which I hate doing in the day time but today I had to lay down for an hour or so because the pain on my right side was unbearable. Here is where it gets tricky. The pain on the right went away and now I have it on my left side. I know what your thinking. Why not go to the doctor? We’ll I have and they don’t know whats wrong however they do prescribe me medicine that cost over $500. Yep! That’s the cost with no to minimum insurance. Hey! My life as an entrepreneur so over the years I have discovered some different ways to help subdue my migraines. Today I’m sharing with you a few things that help me cope with my migraines. Please by all means share any of yours that I have not tried so that I can add those to my list of migraine experiments.

#1 COCA-COLA AND SALTED PEANUTS

I have no medical background to back up this claim however I can contest that over the years this has been a God send for both my teenage son and I. We normally keep mini cans of Coca-Cola in the car or somewhere in the house along with packs of salted peanuts. There’s nothing like an ice-cold can of coke and a bag of peanuts.

#2 MY-GRASTICK

I discovered the My-graStick years ago while in Whole Foods in search of something all natural to assist with my migraines.  The size of the stick is very small and perfect for your purse or even your pocket. The stick has a soothing feel upon application.  My-grastick has a take-along roller-ball stick that contains 100 pure and natural steam-distilled peppermint and lavender essential oils. Each stick lasts for more than 100 applications. Simply apply gentle strokes to acupressure points such as the temples forehead and nape of the neck.
