Hey Darlings! As you all know this past week the kids and I headed to Savannah on on our Southern Hospitality Meets Luxury Road Trip Series in collaboration with Lincoln. We had the opportunity to test drive the 2019 Lincoln Nautilus. We’ve shared a few Hidden Gems in Savannah over the past few days and today’s blog entry is one that is near and dear to my heart. I had the opportunity to be along side my sister and my niece’s journey to finding her the perfect prom dress which we did via Facetime. Thank God for iPhones!
The past weekend I was able to be there to take part in this once and a lifetime event. Of course she will have her Senior prom (@ Beach High School) but this one was so special and definitely one for the books. Listen! I don’t have any girls and ever since my niece was born my sister Summer has had no problem sharing Samaria with me sort of speak. As a little girl she would literally be glued to my hip when I lived in Savannah and during the countless times that I visited home after moving to the Atlanta area. This weekend was no different. From running like a chicken without a head to seeing my niece and sisters vision come to fruition. This weekend couldn’t be any more perfect!
My poor sister Summer will probably try to get as much sleep as she possibly can after all of the ripping and running that she has done in preparation for her daughters prom. I was all good until I stepped into the studio where my niece was getting her face beat by BeautyMARKED by Dawn who did an amazing job on my nieces makeup. Naturally life happens and the young lady who was suppose to curl my nieces hair wasn’t able to do it but hey who needs to be worried when my sister Summer comes to the rescue. The day continued on as planned.
I can recall in Cinderella it took one swing of the Godmothers wand and she was instantly ready well in real life it takes a big brother, mother, aunt and grandmother to get the job done. I love how my nephew Sammi (Mari’s brother) jumped right in to put her shoes on as I helped her lay back in preparation for her date who had just arrived. Tah was the perfect gentleman and in Eaddy tradition the family all gathers to send the kid off so we headed to Carver Village for the final send off for their Junior Prom at A.E. Beach High School.
As you will see from the pictures we literally blocked off one of our neighborhood streets as both my niece and her cousin made their grand entrances to appear before the family as everyone took millions of pictures.
The evening ended with the crew heading off to the A.E. Beach High School 2019 Junior/Senior Prom in the beautiful 2019 Lincoln Nautilus. Seriously what better way to arrive to the prom than in a Luxury vehicle. I had so much fun sharing this experience with my family and having the honor of chauffeuring them to the prom. The perfect ending to the day. Southern Hospitality Meets Luxury!
