When August hits, parents are on the race to make sure that their kids are ready for back to school and back to college. As a parent the easy part about shopping during this time of year is gathering school supplies Everyone is covered for books, pencils and backpacks but what about wardrobe? I was recently introduced to an amazing company call Brooklyn Cloth. Brooklyn Cloth offers college kids and boys with the top 10-15 must haves. Just imagine color blocking, denim, bomber jackets, graphic tees, twill and knit jogger pants basically every thing thats presently trending in fashion. I especially love how their line takes you back with a 90’s vibe. Their color blocking trends including graphics and verbiage. They have unique jackets ranging from embroidered roses to embroidered phrases. My sons favorite is probably the Denim. It’s a staple that never goes out of style. The look of denim has not changed much, but feels more like a jacket that you already have owned, with a worn-in distressed look. That’s seems to be the popular trend no matter what age. Twill and knit jogger pants have been and still remain in hot demand.
The cool pullover hoodies are perfect for our crazy weather because in the Fall it normally goes from warm to cool in a matter of seconds. The Brooklyn Cloth hoodies are the best for the psychotic climate and the cold classrooms that they’ll be spending the majority of their time during the day. I love how both the tops and jackets are versatile and help my son keep it casual for a comfy look or to style it up. Either way, he’s dressed and ready before the bell rings. In the above pictures you will see how he decided to pair a few pieces to add his own flair and style. You can check out the entire Back To College Collection Here.
Here are some of the looks that you will find on the website. As a mom of three sons trust me when I say that designers and stores rarely create fashionable items for boys so you can imagine how great I felt to discover Brooklyn Cloth. This year the guess work was literally taken out of searching stores for my high schooler who entered the eleventh grade this August. I believe that the fact that they focus on the Gen-Z and Millennial consumer, someone who isn’t defined by style, their able to provide the best pieces for young men.
