Disney The Jungle Book Is A Family Must See
** Thanks to Disney for sponsoring today’s post. All opinions in this post are my own.**
The kids and I had an opportunity to attend a private screening of the highly anticipated Disney, The Jungle Book. As a parent and kid at heart I ensure that my kids have the same experience that I had as a child when it comes to enjoying both the Disney movies and books. When it comes to The Jungle Book this movie is a legendary book that has been passed down generation to generation with all of the world and the movie captured every childhood memory that I had when I first read the book.
I was excited when Disney made the decision to remake everyone’s childhood favorite, The Jungle Book and it indeed met every one of my expectations. The movie is full of amazing plots and stars some of the World’s most loved actors. Directed by Jon Favreau (“Iron Man”), based on Rudyard Kipling’s timeless stories and inspired by Disney’s classic animated film, “The Jungle Book” is an all-new live-action epic adventure about Mowgli (newcomer Neel Sethi), a man-cub who’s been raised by a family of wolves. Sounds familiar? We soon discover that Mowgli finds that he is no longer welcome in the jungle when fearsome tiger Shere Khan (voice of Idris Elba), who bears the scars of Man, promises to eliminate what he sees as a threat. Just imagine yourself in the wild jungle trying to survive the sharp claws of Shere Khan. Wait! Not only does he have to worry about Shere Khan but also Saa!
Forced to abandon the only home he’s ever known, Mowgli embarks on a captivating journey of self-discovery, guided by panther-turned-stern mentor Bagheera (voice of Ben Kingsley), and the free-spirited bear Baloo (voice of Bill Murray). Along the way, Mowgli encounters jungle creatures who don’t exactly have his best interests at heart, including Kaa (voice of Scarlett Johansson), a python whose seductive voice and gaze hypnotizes the man-cub, and the smooth-talking King Louie (voice of Christopher Walken), who tries to coerce Mowgli into giving up the secret to the elusive and deadly red flower: fire. The movie hits theaters on this Friday, April 15th and is a must see! Check out the trailer:
