TAKING A GLANCE AT THE 2018 FORD MUSTANG AND EXPEDITION
Hey Darlings! I’m finally catching my second wind because last week was super busy. Last week I had the opportunity to kick off my weekend with an amazing lunch and learn with Ford Motors. Ford Motors has been a family brand since the early 1900’s. In fact, Ford was founded in 1903 by Henry Ford and 11 fellow associate investors. The company was reincorporated in 1919 with Ford, his wife, Clara, and son, Edsel, acquiring full ownership. That’s literally how long this brand has been creating amazing vehicles for families.
This was my first official monthly meeting with my auto club and it was all that I expected. The ambiance was amazing, the members were engaging and Ford let us in on a few insider details that they have in the pipeline for the brand coming up very soon. Our monthly meeting was held at Hopstix which quaintly located in Chamblee’s Industrial area. This was my second time in the area and it was perfect for a monthly auto club. There wasn’t a ton of hustle and bustle only local businesses and entrepreneurs out and about or meeting for a quick-lunch meeting. Hopstix was an infusion of Asian and Korean food vibes. In business I’ve had millions of meetings where Korean food is often served and this lunch in my opinion was the perfect blend of them both. The food was amazing and so was the presentation from Ford.
Just imagine walking in for lunch and a beautiful bright orange Ford Mustang is waiting patiently for you to take a seat inside it or take her for a quick drive test!
During the lunch we learned from a Ford representative from Communications walked us through Ford’s plan to bring back some of their most beloved vehicles that many of us owned or desired to own from our childhood. For example there was word that the infamous Bronco will be making a guest appearance. I was especially excited to learn that they have an ALL-NEW ECOSPORT & EXPEDITION. The EcoSport is very popular in Los Angeles and the East Coast which makes perfect sense because of their crazy commutes. We discussed their EV’s and Hybrids which are interested to me because I’m a sucker for a hybrid. If it’s an SUV Hybrid then I’m all in!
THE EXPEDITION
Ya’ll already know that I love all things BIG and the 2018 Ford Expedition did not disappoint me. It’s Big Body model is just what a girl like me needs. Listen I got excited at the fact that I had to hop into it! OMG! Talk about being in love all over again! The inside was nothing short of a luxury vehicle. As a mom of three, leg room and a third row seat is heaven for my tribe of three active sons. The Expedition was all that I had expected and so much more! I opted to take a test drive with my fellow blogger Sis Lou and trust me sitting up high and on top of the world is right up my alley. Here are a few of my favorites:
- Third Row Seat & Powerfold
- Second Row Power Folding and Heated Seats
- 360-Degree Camera
- B&O Play Premium Auto
- Enhanced Active Park Asst
- Sync 3 W/8″ Touchscreen
- Voice Activated Navigation
- Panoramic Vista Roof
The Expedition takes luxury to another level and has the price point to prove it. This beauty will run you $81,815 and although the sticker price is surely a shocker keep in mind that you’re getting a BEAUTY for the price that will definitely be a great addition to the family.
THE FORD MUSTANG
The Ford Mustang was a crowd favorite. The men patiently awaited their turn to take her for a quick test drive. The mustang is or has been almost everyone’s dream car. I can remember as a child watching the mustang drive up and down our street. Our neighbor was retired and would often take it for a quick spin. Perhaps he was reliving his youth, either way it was a beauty than and still remains a beauty. It has and will always be a FAST & FURIOUS Car! The mustang’s price point was around $56,000 and if you’re interested in purchasing one keep in mind that you have the Build & Price option. So just think of it as you have total control on your price point.
