Hello Everyone! Many of you know that I have three sons ages 8, 12 and 19. Let’s talk about teaching kids how to cook. My two younger kids are always in the kitchen assisting with preparing meals and my 19-year-old not so much but HE LOVE TO EAT!!! Imagine how excited I was when I was selected to review some of Gorton’s Simply Bake & Grilled Tilapia. Gorton’s is participating in conjunction with Spark People to help get your year started off right by eating healthy. Check out the package that I received! Amazing right? Check out the Spark People challenge. I decided to allow my oldest son to take on the first challenge and prepare a meal. My son decided that he would make a pot of rice, fresh broccoli with sausage and of course his favorite Gorton’s Grilled Tilapia. It’s a good thing that we had our handy Gorton’s wooden chopping board available to aid him in his preparations. Please understand that he needed some assistance with preparing the rice because he’s still learning. I was happy to see him moving around the kitchen especially since his expertise is preparing breakfast and lunch meals.
My younger sons waited in anticipation to see if their brother would be successful at his new task. BOOM! He did it! Actually it didn’t taste bad. I had the opportunity to taste a meal prepared by him without having to force him into preparing dinner. Look what happens when your kids start maturing, they want to do more and see you do less. Trust me I am thankful for Gorton’s Simply Bake products. What’s even better their products help you and your family eat healthy. To grab your coupon click here.
