I was surfing the internet the other night looking for a few unique art pieces and ran across a hidden gem website: www.minted.com. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that was a site that markets thousands of individual artist. Genius! This is a perfect way for artist to get exposure and sell their masterpieces at the same time.

Just in case your unfamiliar with Minted.com let me share their mission with you. Minted is a community of independent artists and designers that are locates in 48 states and 43 countries. They consist of illustrators and textile designers, painters , marketers and even stay-at-home mothers. Many hold design degrees and some are participating in the Minted competitions in efforts to learn design for the first time. They all share one common thing, the love to share their creative expression and the opportunity to pay it forward by helping each other. The community speaks to the ability of individuals with the same passion working together to ensure that everyone succeeds in living their dreams.

I purchased a home two years ago and just recently got the urge to want to start to really make my house a home. The search began for the perfect artwork to strategically place in my home. Stumbling across this site was the best thing ever. I had the opportunity to view the competitors and purchase artwork from the winners. I just so happened to love so many so I will share a few of my favorites.
