Welcome Ghouls, Goblins and all critters from the Gruesome Underworld! It’s that time of year when our homes transform into the most horrifying scenes, scary houses and mystery mansions. Halloween is one of our family’s favorite holiday’s because it’s that one time of year that the kids and I can dress up in some of the most creative costumes and practically be anyone that we want. This year we decided to add a twist to our annual party and create a ghoulish #SpookySnacks Lab theme complete with underworld treats for my little ones and the neighbor’s kids. I knew that I needed to create an edible yet ghoulish treat and just when I was getting started with the boys I discovered that the little ones had just finished off the last can of Fanta Orange. I packed the kids in the truck and we all headed to our local WalMart to grab a few of the items that I would need.
Walmart does a great job of placing items within your eyes reach and as we walked in the store look what instantly caught my eye! OREOS!
Eureka! It’s Glow In The Dark Package OREOS! Who doesn’t love delicious creamy OREO cookies? Imagine what I can do with these OREOS. Perhaps I can make a creepy treat but you will have to keep reading because we’re off to grab our Fanta Orange soda.
We got excited just cruising down the aisle as we grabbed our usual refill of our favorite Fanta Orange Soda. In fact we had to grab a few extras because I knew that the boys would more than likely drink them all and I would need to head back to the store for more so the more the merrier!
READY TO MAKE SOME TASTY DEEP FRIED SPIDERS??????
Have you ever wondered what the ghouls, goblins and underworld folks eat for a snack? We’ll at our #SpookySnacks Lab we recreated their favorite treat, Deep Fried Spiders. These treats are quite yummy if you can get past they’re white gooey guts the kids would love to make these super easy treats. I find with having all boys they absolutely love making and eating the spiders guts. These spiders are super delicious when served hot but we have found that they make an extra creepy treat when secretly added to my kids packed lunches. Imagine how they feel when they are surprised with a few critters at lunch time which is another reason why I love Halloween. You just never know what will pop up in your lunch box.

Your little ghouls are sure to give you rave reviews on making them Deep Fried OREO Spiders created but those gruesome guts are sure to work up quite a thirst. Legends says that the resident of the Underworld like to drink Spooky Ghoul Elixir with Frozen Eyeballs and Dried Blood. The creepy eyeballs are the best addition to the Elixir and although the spiders enjoy them as a yummy treat they are actually a favorite main course for skeletons when they rise from the dead devastated and hungry. Elixir is quite a delicious treat and sure to be a crowd pleaser with your little goblins just as it is for the creatures of the Underworld.
Every gruesome creature desires a gooey treat so we created Jiggly Fanta Intestine Squares as an additional treat for our creepy guests. The Fanta Intestine Squares were super easy to prepare. All you need is some guts to cut into squares and serve up. Just kidding! We added a new twist to a kiddie favorite. We found that by replacing some of the water when making the gelatin it gave a whole new taste to one of our favorite snacks. Although the schools that my kids attend don’t allow the parents to get too gruesome they love for me to make my Jiggly Fanta Intestines for their annual Halloween Festival.

The fun continues with our monstrous creepy spiders that love to playfully wrap their skeleton friends in webs. The monstrous OREO spiders were created by adding a few pieces of black licorice for legs and chocolate coated candy to added crazy eyes. My little one added some candy teeth to his spiders because they love to eat through the cans to get to their favorite Fanta Orange Soda. It looks like the kids will not be able to claim these Fanta’s because the spiders have already staked their claim at our #SpookySnacks Lab. The Spooky Fanta’s were very ghostly and a great addition to the creepy spiders. The Ghostly Fanta’s were created by adding mini ghost costumes. WOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

Before everyone goes they must all pay a visit to the grave site of the #SpookySnacks. In fact it’s bad luck to not stop by and pay your respects so before you leave please be sure to stop by and leave a few dead flowers. RIP #SpookySnacks
