GRANT PARK ATLANTA HIDDEN GEM: PIN & PROPER

Hey Darlings! I guess it’s just destined in the cards for me to get my behind out of the house and enjoy all of these Hidden Gems that Atlanta has to offer. Today’s Hidden Gem is Pin & Proper quaintly located in the Grant Park District. Honestly I had never heard of this place until my fellow blogger friend Arkeedah invited me out to join her in’ her birthday celebration.

The drive is about 40 minutes from South Atlanta. Honestly it wasn’t a bad ride and surprising the traffic wasn’t that bad for 5:30-6ish. Hey in Atlanta that’s superior traffic compared to our hectic traffic jams. As I made my way to Pins & Proper I noticed that there were quite a few other hidden gems in the area so I’ll definitely be adding them to my list. Upon arriving there was a good amount of space to park. I love that there is additional parking in the back. When I walked in I was immediately greeted with cheerful faces. This must be hidden gem because the bar was almost fairly pack with the exception of a few empty seats. This seems like a great place to come after work to unwind, have a drink and grab a bite to eat. While I was there I noticed a lot of business people coming in to unwind from a long Corporate day. Whew! I remember those days. I absolutely love the ambiance. The style is definitely that of a pub which I happen to love. It sort of reminds me of a spot that I like to hit up when I’m in London on business.

So why is it called Pins & Proper? My guess is because there’s a whole open space for you to play pinball. So here’s the deal. You get bowling ball pins but a football to knock them down. Yeah I know it sounds crazy but it’s looks quite entertaining. The cost is $10 and you can get unlimited play. I would highly suggest getting here at a decent time on the weekend because I can only imagine that it gets crazy busy in here.

There is also an outside deck and if the weather is just right this would definitely be the move. There were some additional games outside for the patrons to play like this huge Jenga style game and corn toss.

While we waited for everyone to arrive we had a ball playing Uno. I loved how there was a plethora of different childhood card games on the tables for your entertainment. This is definitely a chill spot. Ideally this is a great spot for all of my serious spade players. Spades + Food  + Drinks = A Great Time.

So how’s the pricing? When I looked online the drink prices were priced reasonable starting at $12. Today is Tuesday so they had the following specials:

  • $5 Margaritas
  • $5 Wings (5pc)
  • $8 Glasses of Wine
  • $20 Bottles of Wine

Don’t get me to lying so I can’t tell you what type of wine was on special tonight because all I opted to have was water since I had a longer ride ahead of me than the other attending. We all basically either ordered some wings, fries, a beer, margaritas and a kale caesar salad. I didn’t have the Kale Caesar but it was at the top of my list but a fellow guest was not impressed so I wouldn’t suggest ordering it. The wings were big, meaty and tasty as was the french fries.

Oh I can’t forget that there is also Hooka (which isn’t my thing) and a DJ on Tuesday nights.
