AZN SANDWICH BAR HEALTHY OR NOT?
A few months ago I stumbled upon a new restaurant that had an “OPENING SOON” sin hanging in the window. Naturally that’s what one would normally see when a new space is opening there was definitely something different about this new restaurant call AZN Sandwich Bar. I must admit I was a bit intrigued with the caption “Sandwich Bar” especially in the quiet area where I live. I wasn’t sure if it was your everyday sandwich shop or an alternative healthy spot.
The creative concept for AZN is truly unique. AZN’s goal is to not only craft a menu that is healthy and promotes healthy living but also changes the entire way that you look at what you eat. It’s so common for you to walk into a fast food restaurant and grab quick unhealthy food in a rush which are ultimately harmful to your body. What happens when you can create a quick service restaurant that allows several healthy options.
AZN provides you the following options:
- AZN BAGUETTE allows you to choose 1 protein, 3 toppings and sauces.
- RICE BOWL allows you to choose 1 protein, 2 proteins + $.95, 3 proteins + $1.90, brown or fried rice and sauce.
- SALAD BOWL allows you to choose 1 protein, 2 proteins + $.95, 3 proteins + $1.90 and sauce/dressing.
- GWA BAO allows you to choose 1 protein, 3 per order, extra GWA BAO + $2.95 , Bulgigi + $3.25
My son and I went for lunch and decided to both try the rice bowls. We both had fried rice with beef but I chose totally different fresh vegetables then my son. I wanted to try fresh broccoli, cucumbers, spinach and eggs while my son chose romaine lettuce, broccoli mushrooms and cucumbers. We both had their fresh press juice and a special treat!
