I recently received a bag of Cafe Brit Habitat Coffee from Influenster to try and the moment that I opened the bag I knew that I just had to have a cup. I soon discovered that there was one major issue. My brewing machine was broke, my backup single serve was given to my sister and I forgot to the store to purchase the gadget so that I can brew coffee in my Keurig.
So what is Cafe Britt Habitat?
It’s 100% Arabica Coffee. I received the Costa Rica Ground in a 12 oz bag. Costa Rico has some of the world’s most popular animals: sloths. Sloths aren’t cute; they’re essential to the health of our tropical forests. For the brands Habitat line, they have partnered with Toucan Rescue Ranch (TRR), whose mission is to rescue. rehabilitate, and release native Costa Rican animals. In honor of the sloth’s importance in the ecosystem, they chose coffee from the world-renowned Tarrazu region. It’s delicate and balanced, it presents fruit and honey notes, with a light aftertaste of dark chocolate.
Ha! I knew that there was a reason why I was so drawn to this java. OMG! The smell is simply amazing and I instantly fell in love!
If you’ve been reading my blog for a while or following me on social media then you already know that I can be pretty innovative. So with that being said I created my own coffee brewing system. Well sort of! Here’s what I did. First I grabbed one of my favorite mugs, a filter and a rubber band.
Next I placed the filter inside my coffee mug and ensured that it was neatly fitted. Once that was complete I added two tablespoons of the Cafe Brit Habitat in my mug then slowly poured hot boiling water over my concoction and patiently awaited for my delicious smelling java to slowly drip until the cup was ready.
I added whole milk and sugar and boom I HAD COFFEE! OMG! It was absolutely delicious!
