On last week I was in San Antonio, Texas for the sixth annual Blogalicious Conference and I was blessed to have been selected to be one of the Official Toyota Brand Ambassadors. The ambassadorship included the opportunity to test drive a few of the new Toyota models which included the 2014 RAV4 and Avalon, attend an inspirational breakfast with the Toyota Panel and a tour of the San Antonio Toyota plant. Thanks to Delta changing my flight times I was slightly delayed from arriving to actually test drive the cars but in my mind the adventure must continue. I arrived to the Toyota plant just in time to meet the panel of wonderful inspirational women and the tour of the plant. Lets Go Places!
The day was filled with amazing adventure. Once I arrived to the Toyota Plant I was able to catch a portion of the panel discussion and brunch with the Toyota’s Women Going Places” panel which was then followed by the tour of the San Antonio Toyota Plant. We were all lead to the inside of the plant where we were instructed to place a hard hat on and use the head set provided then our adventure began as we rode around the plant. I was pleased to know that Toyota takes safety to a whole new level. Side note: They have an infirmary on site with Doctors and Nurses, a physical conditioning area on site to ensure that all new employees are conditioned for their new position because lets face it there is a lot of work that goes into building vehicles and they also have a safety vending machine to ensure that all supplies are readily available to their employees.
So once we rode around on our tour I learned that there are so many moving parts that work as a cohesive team to create the Toyota Tundra and Tacoma which are the two vehicles that are strictly made at this location. It was simply amazing to actually see the numerous inspections, checks and balances that actually are performed to ensure that Toyota makes the best vehicles. The best part is that a Toyota Tacoma and/or Tundra rolls off the assembly line every 62 seconds. Yes I said every 62 seconds! How Cool is that? Awesome Sauce! Have you driven the Tacoma or Tundra?
Once our tour was over we all gathered to speak with one of the reps that continued to educate us on how they manage to run such a well oiled facility. We asked a few questions and before we left the Toyota Plant we were blessed with this huge Swag Bags.
Toyota truly knows how to swag their Ambassadors out! Check out these amazing items. I can’t wait to snuggle up in my beautiful branded Toyota bathrobe. I was spotted running around the Blogalicious Conference with my cute shirt and as an International Social Media/Brand Manager & Lifestyle Blogger who doesn’t need a Puku? This girl does and with all of the places I will be going with Toyota this is indeed the perfect gift.
Of course my fun didn’t stop there. What’s an Ambassador like myself to do while in San Antonio? Go Places of course! Follow me and Let’s Go Places! I visited The Alamo, Saint Joseph Parish, San Fernando Cathedral & The River Walk! Let’s Go Places!
The Ambassadors also had a private meet and greet with both Lamman Rucker of Why Did I Get Married and Claire Sulmers, Editor-in-Chic of Fashion Bomb Daily. These phenomenal individuals were simply amazing and inspiring. They each told us to stay true to our craft and have grown our Brands and Blogs.
This past week was simply amazing and I would like to thank Toyota and Blogalicious for an amazing time. I am excited to see where my Toyota Let’s Go Places Ambassadorship takes me next. Stay tuned and on the lookout for the premiere of the 2015 Camry. What places will you go?
