Can I share a secret with you? I have always been what society calls “A Hopeless Romantic”. Which means most of my television time is of me consuming the countless amazing movies created exclusively for Lifetime. While I’m being completely honest with you, I’m also one of those people who must have cable! Needless to say that watching the Lifetime Channel is sort of addiction of mine.
I’ve found that in the past when I traveled I would have to set my DVR to record the movies that I would miss. If I had to list my top three they would not be in any particular order because they all were amazing. For example Whitney Houston, whom will forever remain a legend for the entire world. I can recall as a young girl watching her entire life unfold before me. The excitement I felt when she would perform at the Grammys, the birth of her daughter Bobbi Kristina and how she stole everyone’s heart in her leading role in the Body Guard. The death of Whitney was one that rocked the world. To the masses it felt like she was apart of your immediate family. When Yaya DeCosta and Arlen Escarpeta joined together to bring the life of Whitney and Bobby brown directly to your home via Lifetime, the entire world tuned in to bask in their life story.
The Gabby Douglas story was one that was near and dear to my heart. The kids and I enjoyed watching how determined she was in her passion. Gabby has taught the world that you can accomplish anything that you set your mind to and never give up, continue to strive for excellence.
Last but not least is the beautiful songstress Toni Braxton. Toni has captured the world with her countless number one love songs. She’s has a mighty voice packaged inside her and when she sings the entire world stops to listen. Who can hear “Unbreak My Heart” and not sing along? I’m singing right now as I chat with you. Her biography provided the world with a candid look into her life that has never been shared in the public until now. SO grab your popcorn and tissues because you’re in for a treat.
