Nourished Festival Expo Atlanta 2019

Nourished Festival

Nourished Festival

Hey Darlings! I had the pleasure to attend the Nourished Festival (formally known as the Gluten Free & Allergy Friendly Expo) during its annual stop here in Atlanta as one of their Official Bloggers. I would not be truthful if I didn’t mention that attending on last year was life changing. I learned so much about how certain foods and ingredients can be harmful to your body and flare up allergies. You can read about last years experience here!

When I arrived I was immediately joined by fellow bloggers from Atlanta, Tennessee and Florida. This years Blogger Lounge was sponsored by Path of Life. I was excited to see that the amount of bloggers had increased since last year because that means more amazing blogs to follow. We were whisked off to a secret VIP area where we chatted, took selfies, walked the red carpet and enjoyed delicious continental breakfast. I love that the Nourished Festival always welcomes us with a warm smile and loads of information about the vendors. Since this was my second year I felt like an expert LOL and headed off to my preferred brands first followed by heading to meet the newbies to the expo. The key to effectively working an expo like this one is creating a game plan of how you will work the venue because once the doors open to the public its pure mayhem. As soon as the doors opened there was a plethora of families, moms with small children, dads with strollers in hand and then there was I rumbling through the crowded room.

I’ve been in love with Path of Life for quite some time. I love how their brand works hard to provide the best organic & all natural frozen quinoa dishes available to their consumers. I am a fan of their cauliflower fried rice and I have never like cauliflower before until I was introduced to Path of Life. Yes you will find at least 2-3 bags in my freezer. The kids also love it so that’s a bonus plus they’re eating healthy. Did I mention that there are 6 fantastic varieties to compliment any cuisine – Asian Style, Superfood Pilaf, Southwest, Mediterranean, Quinoa & Kale, and Quinoa & Brown Rice. Check your local Publix! Thanks to Jordan and the team for an amazing experience this year. I can’t wait to share some more dinner ideas with my readers.

On last year I was initially introduced to the Brazi Bites Brazilian Cheese Bread brand and I have been in love with them since then. Who knew that these delicious little bites would be so fulfilling? They’re just freaking amazing! I have had a bread obsession my entire life and Brazi Bites fills my cravings. Don’t worry about which ones you’ll like because they have four different flavors: Cheddar & Parmesan, Zesty Pepper Jack, Garlic Asiago and 3 Cheese Pizza. You’ll fall in love with all of them. It’s an added bonus that these delicious little bites are naturally gluten-free, no preservatives, no trans fat, no sugar and no artificial anything!

This year I was introduced to Freedom Foods. I’m really not a cereal person but my kids definitely are true lovers of just about any type of cereal. I had an amazing conversation with the Freedom Foods representative and needless to say that I was amazed at the things that are in cereal that I purchase weekly. While learning more about the brand I had the privilege to try their cereal and I wasn’t disappointed. I will say that there definitely isn’t much sugar which the kids will probably miss but I think that this Spring/Summer I can slowly transition them over.

On last year I was first introduced to Kinnikinnick and ever since it has been a match made in heaven. I must admit that I am a snacker and I love their vanilla sandwich cream cookies. OMG! They are so delicious yet gluten, nuts, soy, dairy and peanut free. These are the perfect snack for people who suffer from food allergies.

Allow me to introduce you to Cheenies. These are cheese bite rolls (Pao de Quejo / Pan de Queso). They are ready to bake and are made with all natural ingredients plus they are gluten free. I love how they make for the perfect sliders. You can find them at Whole Foods, Harris Teeter and Lowes Foods.

Has anyone tried Home Free before? Listen this weekend was my first time and Hunty! They truly understand cookies. I initially thought that the lemon burst would be my favorite but I soon discovered that the chocolate chip and I were destined for a serious love affair. These socially conscious cookies are not only award-winning but allergy friendly as well as gluten, egg, dairy, peanut and nut free. There are NO artificial anything and they’re also vegan and kosher. I’m heading to Sprouts this week to stock up because the ones that I brought at the show are already gone!

Just so that we’re very clear I’m a southern girl and we love a bag of delicious roasted peanuts. Today I fell in love with Hampton Farms. They’re known for their CRUNCH, TASTE and the fact that they’re GLUTEN FREE! Did you notice that they come in some exotic flavors?

Finally I have an alternative to cans of the other stackable chips. The moment that I tried The Good Crisp I knew that my chip life would forever be changed. As soon as I left the expo I rushed to grab me a few cans because I have a bad habit of snacking.

Last but not least let me introduce you all to Sauce Goddess! Let me start by saying that I adore her branding! The brand makes all natural, preservative and gluten free spices, sauces, caramel corn and pepper relish. I’m excited to announce that this weekend they just launched their brand new dips and spreads. OMG! I had a try and they are absolutely delicious.

I can’t wait to see what they have in store for 2020!
