This year by the amazing GRACE & BLESSINGS of God I celebrated my 42nd Birthday. I know people make big deals over their birthdays but for me it’s another day to tell God “THANK YOU”. When you’ve had as many over the top birthday celebrations as I’ve had growing up it starts to become hard to top those precious memories. For as long a I can remember my mother and father always gave “THE BEST” Birthday parties. This year as like with many others I just like to spend my day enjoying life and the many blessings that have been bestowed upon me.
This year my best friend, Shahidah of over 39 years decided to surprise me with a trip to Atlanta to help me celebrate this year along with my good friend, Kendra. Needless to say hanging out with the two of them was more than I could have ever asked for on my birthday. We all decided to go down to Puff & Petals Restaurant which happens to be owned by K Michelle to celebrate my 42nd.
I read as many reviews as I could on Puff & Petals Restaurants and they all had one mutual comment in common and that was the size of the restaurant. I will definitely agree with everyone in that aspect but to be honest. I freaking love her concept! Think about it! Just starting out and opening a huge restaurant can be a huge financial risk. Let’s face it those with money understand starting small and building big. I adored her quaint selection of the restaurant. Its located on Edgewood while that would’ve been my selection lets face reality it freaking works!
Upon our arrival we were carded at the door. Which was fine with me and I was thankful that there wasn’t a line because many of the post that I had read all complained about waiting in the hot sun during the summer and since its now winter and it was rainy I was a bit worried but we were immediately seated. Before we get started on my experience please keep in mind that your limited to 90 minutes. There’s no need to get upset because I can assure you that your food will be out immediately and I for one loved that about Puff & Petals. Let’s get to it…….
The ambiance of Puff & Petals was that of a small Parisian café like I’ve visited on my many wonders abroad. The music was perfect and so was the staff. The amazing staff was very attentive to our needs and walked is through everything there is to know about the restaurant. We decided to start off with these super cute pink devil eggs. Listen! They were amazing!

Let’s have a conversation. When I tell you that K Michelle and her amazing team put a ton of thought into their presentation! My goodness! THEY DID THAT! Now I’m a girl who loves presentation and they HIT IT ON THE NAIL! Imagine having your food come out in a unique presentation. Kendra & Jessica ordered a delicious spicy pasta, while Shahidah had sliders and I of course had to have ribs. Shahidah’s came out on a cute little barn theme. Talk about a super cute presentation! Take a look!
Now the presentation for my ribs stole my heart. How in the world did they ever think of serving ribs and fries in a cute bird cage? OMG! Talk about adorable!
The total experience was AMAZING! I give them 5 STARS! The dessert was amazing and so was my BIRTHDAY SHOT!
