Hey Ya’ll! It’s the weekend and what better way to spend the day than at the 2019 Savannah Comic Con. Thanks to my correspondents Shahidah and her son Preston Samuel’s A.K.A PJ (Pictured Below) who are attending this year and sharing their amazing adventure with us. The Savannah Comic Con is taking place for two days, April 7 & 8 at the Savannah GA International Trade & Convention Center. The show hours are Saturday 10:30-6 • Sunday 11:30-5. It’s so exciting to see that after a few years of planning this is now their second annual Comic Con. The first year guests included Carlos Alazraqui, Jonathan Hickman, Wilfredo Torres, Ian McGinty, and many more. This years the show will have one of its biggest years with their star-studded guest appearances.
As the date approached the excitement about what this year had in store excites my junior correspondent PJ. This years guest include Summer Glau of “Firefly”and “Terminator Chronicles”, John Wesley Shipp from Flash, Greg Cipes from “Teen Titans Go” and “TMNT”, Carey Means from “Aqua Teen”, and the Scooby Doo Mystery Van. All of my true comic fans will definitely appreciate and understand the excitement that any comic fanatic would feel knowing that they’re attending this amazing event.
Needless to say that I was excited to see that celebrity voice and actor Rob Paulsen would be in attendance. If your around my age then the chances are that your familiar with his voice from our era of cartoons like“Pinky and the Brain,” Yakko from “Animaniacs” and Raphael of “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.” Seriously I literally grew up watching all of these cartoons when my mom wouldn’t let me go outside to play. LOL!
As Preston’s day got started there was no limit to the plethora of comic characters and activities for him to enjoy. Like serious there were some heavy hitters in attendance.
I guess that its safe to say that no only did PJ have a great time but by the looks of my best friend of over 40 years posing in every picture I would say that she had fun too! LOL!
