I participated in an Influencer Activation Program on behalf of Influence-Central for Sprint. I received a device to facilitate my review.
I had the pleasure to attend a VIP Virgin Mobile Custom Luncheon at the Sprint Corporate office here in Atlanta to learn more about the launch of their Virgin Custom Make It Yours services. I have been a customer of Sprint for over ten years and I am always excited to learn about additional cell phone options. As a mother of three sons ages 18, 11 and 7-year-old one can only imagine that they are all wanting phones. My 18-year-old and I both have plans with Sprint and for the last three years my 11-year-old has been hinting around that he would like his own phone. Although I have been on the fence about allowing him to get his own phone I was very impressed with what I learned at the luncheon.
I was impressed by the presentation because this service allows you a wealth of commands. I learned that you have the option to Build It which means that I can build my own unique plan where I can customize my plan for talking, text & data. The plans start at $6.98 with the option to add additional a la carte services. This gives me the ability to decide how many minutes my kids are allocated to us on the phone. The second option that I found exciting was that I also have the ability to control the device. Cool Right? We’ll with the Virgin Mobile Custom you can schedule time blocks for your kids to get on-line, social media networks and more. For example, my kids attend schools that participate in the BYTS (Bring Your Technology To School) which means I can let them carry this device and I have the ability to allocate them time frames that they can get online. So what does that mean to parents? It means that you don’t have to worry about them surfing the net while in school because the options are disable. The icing on the cake is that I have the option to manage how much my little ones spend and there are never any overages! I can also adjust the monthly plan as needed depending on the situation and when my kids are traveling.
The steps to setting up your service is extremely easy although I did have a few minor issues with setting up my phone the people at Sprint and Influence-Central were very instrumental in assisting me with the issues but once it was up and running the kids and I have been using our new LG Pulse non-stop. The process is as follows:
There are also three phone versions to choice from when you are a Virgin Mobile Custom customer. We received the LG Pulse smart phone which just happens to belong to the android family.
I have had previous experience with pre-paid cell phone services in years gone with other companies it was such an hassle but to my surprise the Virgin Mobile Custom services are awesome sauce in my book and the kids will all agree. The same functions that I have on my phone are also available on our new LG Pulse. My family and I would like to thank Sprint & Influence-Central for the opportunity to participate and have the chance to test out their newest devices.
Do you use pre-paid services? Are you ready to make the switch?
