Happy Mother’s Day Darlings! This has been one of the “BEST MOTHER’S DAY” to date for me. Although I consider everyday to be Mother’s Day this one was definitely one for the books. Whew! When I say that I had an amazing experience this trust me I did. There are a series of events / reasons that have worked together to make this “The Best Mother’s Day” and they will be listed in no particular order. I pray that you all had a great day!
- I had the opportunity to be apart of my nieces Junior Prom: Prep, Styling and Chauffeur.
- I spend the day touring my hometown like a crazy tourist with both my sister and niece.
- I enjoy ice cream from Leopold’s like a little giddy girl with my sister (Summer), best friend (Shahidah) and niece (Mari).
- I finally got to meet my best friends baby boy. I tried to steal him but she wasn’t having it.
- I enjoyed all the fried oysters that I wanted from Carey Hilliard’s.
- My baby boy surprised me with my favorite shrimp and broccoli bowl from Season’s of Japan.
- My brother-in-law (T) brought me a bottle of Savannah Bourbon Sweet Tea. He loves me! LOL!
- My best friend (Shahidah) cooked me the most amazing breakfast and she even used her expensive bacon. LOL!
- My other best friend Danni brought out the entire cupcake case from my favorite bakery, Gottlieb’s!
- My mommy brought me fresh shrimp to bring home because she knows how much I hate the nasty farm raised shrimp available here in Atlanta.
- My middle son brought me a candy apple from River Street Sweets! He knows that they are my favorite.
- My best friend and I sang Betty White “After The Pain” as loud as we could in the car.
- I finally snagged a few bottles of BBQ Sauce from a childhood friend Roddrick Gardner.
- The Lincoln Nautilus is the smoothest driving car to date that we’ve test driven on a road trip.
- My best friend Shahidah brought me a short PJ set which is totally out of character because all she ever buys me is old lady night gowns.
- I finally had some French Macarons from The Paris Market on Broughton Street in Savannah.
- My sister, niece and I enjoyed tea time at The Spice & Tea Exchange on Broughton Street.
- My best friend Shahidah and I spent the latter part of Mother’s Day shopping at the outlet (you’ll see us in a follow-up post with our matching dresses that we purchased) and enjoying oysters before I headed back to Atlanta.
- I enjoyed my first Fentiman’s Rose Lemonade from Henny Penny located on Bull Street in Savannah.
- I had my first goat cheese and vegan brownie this weekend from Henny Penny.
- My best friend Danni shared one of her chocolate chewies from Gottlieb’s with me but Mario insisted on eating most of it. Hey! They’re just that good.
- I was able to capture the images of my nieces prom. Those are memories that will last a lifetime.
- My mommy brought me another Coca-Cola before I left to head back to Atlanta. As if I hadn’t already had enough but she loves me that much.
- Enjoying my family was the highlight of 2019.
- I sat in the car and enjoyed one of my cupcakes without sharing! Yes Darling they are just that dang on GOOD!
