It may have been Saint Patrick’s in Atlanta but the conversation around town was all about the Legendary Ice Cube visiting downtown Atlanta for the Exclusive VIP Reception & Red Carpet Advance Screening of BARBERSHOP: THE NEXT CUT. I was bless to work the event as the On-Site Social Media Manager for Crème of Nature and be afforded the opportunity to experience what I believe to be one of THE BEST Advance Screenings to take place on the tour.
The event started with an Exclusive VIP Reception held by Crème of Nature, the Official Hair Care Partner for BARBERSHOP: THE NEXT CUT. Upon the guest arrival they were welcomed by the wonderful Crème of Nature team and educated on their amazing brand which has dominated the natural hair care industry for over three decades. The guest enjoyed amazing food, music and took time to capture the moment to share with their friends and family via social media.
The guest continued to enjoy themselves and shortly thereafter the on crowd outside the restaurant began to make a bit of commotion which alerted the VIP Guest that the star of BARBERSHOP: THE NEXT CUT, Ice Cube had arrived and was making his way to the reception. The VIP Guest had the opportunity to chat and take a photo with Ice Cube.
As the VIP Reception wrapped up the guest were all taken over to Regal Atlantic Station for the Red Carpet arrivals and viewing of the movie. BARBERSHOP: THE NEXT CUT cast members ICE CUBE and CEDRIC THE ENTERTAINER were among the celebrities to walk the red carpet before formally introducing their new film. WVEE-FM’s Wanda Smith kicked off the screening, which included a special presentation from Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed who honored the cast with the notable Phoenix Award for contributing to the growing Atlanta film community, as the movie was filmed in the city.
As the guest exited the screening they were surprised by the Crème of Nature team with surprise swag bags of their newest additions to their amazing hair care line.
The evening was a major hit and definitely made a major impression in Atlanta. Be sure to check out BARBERSHOP: THE NEXT CUT in theaters April 15th.
