A while ago when the kids and I took a spur of the moment road trip to Tennessee I stumbled upon a Flea Market in Sevierville that wasn’t too far from our hotel. Honestly I haven’t been to a Flea Market in years but I figured since I was trying to waste some time before taking the kids to dinner so I thought to myself why not head over and take a quick look. As I made my way through the flea market nothing stood out to me until I happen to stumble upon this one booth, Dancing Raven Crafts. It’s a native Inspired Crafts & Pottery.
If you follow me or know me personally then you know how much I love candles and pottery. I was immediately drawn to this one candle, Sacred Herbs of the Cherokee. I guess that I was naturally drawn to it because it contained: Sage, Sweetgrass, Cedar and Tobacco Lemon grass. I have always burnt sage but this particular candle felt like it spoke to me. Having passed it quite a few times I finally made the decision to go back and grab it.
While looking at the candles and different crafts Mario struck up a conversation with the owner Caitlin Turner who was not only the owner but also the beautiful crafter behind the amazing candles, statues, earrings and host of other amazing items. I continued to select my candle while Mario and Caitlin continued to chat.
I would definitely say that their name matches their product and branding. I ended up purchasing 5 candles, 1 of which my mom received and a few will be given as gifts to friends. I could punch myself because I should have actually purchased more to have extras on hand but who knows perhaps I will take another spur of the moment trip to Tennessee soon. The kids and I are definitely ready for another road trip.
