MY YORK TEST LABORATORIES EXPERIENCE AND RESULTS

York Test

I was provided a PR test sample to participate. Any and all content or opinions expressed are my own.

Hey Darlings! Boy do I have something to share with you! So a few months ago I was asked if I was interested in taking a Food Tolerance Test. My initial response was no but that was because I found out that I had to personally prick my finger, fill a few mini tubes at home and mail them off. Here’s the dilemma that I was initially having before ultimately deciding to do the test. Ya’ll know I have a fear of needles! Any type of needles!

Needles + Turkesha absolutely do not mix well at all. In fact they really don’t belong in a sentence together. Honestly I’ve been that way my entire life. So after careful research and watching their demo videos a million times I decided to put on my big girl pants and just do it. Like seriously you would think after having three kids all natural that I wouldn’t be afraid of a needle. Huh! I AM!.  Plus I’ve suffered from migraines my entire life and I was excited to see if there could be a chance that certain foods could assist on triggering my migraines.

What is the York Test?

It’s PREMIUM YorkTest® Laboratories FOOD&DRINK SCAN INTOLERANCE TEST. Europe’s leader in the category is launching its’ test kits in the USA with a new at-home test that may help you find wellness
solutions for the digestive distress and skin issues, migraines and fatigue that result from food intolerances.
The price point isn’t bad at all. The test retails for $270. You can purchase a premium test here. It tests for 208 ingredients (see website).

The York Test didn’t take long to arrive at all and the instructions were very easy to follow and simple. The day that I decided to take the plunge and conduct my test was actually easy peasy. In fact I actually documented the entire process. Girl you can see me jump when I prick my finger and all. It was a hoot. The instructions read just as if you were in the doctors office. Wash your hands, sterilize with the alcohol pad, prick and push the blood out.

So everything was going as smooth as they could possibly go until I had to fill the second valve. Why??? Oh Why did I have to prick another finger? Ugh! Lord I wish that I had just pricked the second first because there was zero issues with blood flowing from that one. Once I was finished. I signed my documents, ensured that my name was on each valve and mailed it off in the self addressed envelope that came with the kit. The results were estimated to take about three weeks to come back however I had mine in about two weeks. They were emailed to me.

TWO WEEKS LATER……

I received an email titled “Your York Test Results Are Ready” and needless to say that I was excited to see what my blood work said about some of the foods that are in list. I was shocked when I looked at my results (see below picture). I had no idea that I would receive the results that I received. Oh My God! If you look at my red category which represents my REACTIONS you’ll immediately notice that “yeast” is my top one! Seriously? Bread? Second is “vanilla” and so on. These were definitely a huge shock for me. Like really? Egg yolk?? Who knew? I didn’t thats who!

Lets keep on going and next we see the yellow category which represents my BORDERLINE foods and or wines. Honey when I saw Tea, Walnut, Egg White, Cola Nut, Lettuce and Potato, I was done! Why? Why oh why are all of my favorites listed under borderline? I know that sodas are not good for you and as much as I intentionally eat healthy I always have a cheating moment with a cold, refreshing coca-cola. I guess those day will not be behind me because I am intentionally going to eliminate these items for 12 weeks/ 3 months.

I also had the option of speaking with a nutritionist in which I decided to do and I am so happy that I did. I actually spoke with her on today hence the delay in getting this post out because I wanted to take you all through the entire experience. It was super easy to schedule the call. I called the number provided and spoke with a guy with a sexy british accent. He scheduled me to speak with KeriAnn on today, June 4, 2019 at 3.30PM EST. KeriAnn called promptly and we chatted in detail about my results, ways to eliminate the reactions and borderline items as well as how to re-introduce them after my 3 month mark. She was very resourceful and open to answer any questions, cares or concerns that I may have had. Hopefully I’ll get a chance to check back in after my 3 month mark is over. I almost forgot along with my results I was also emailed a food diary to assist me in my journey. Overall this was a unique yet great experience and I am so happy that I had the opportunity to participate in this collaboration. I plan on doing a 30 day update once I start eliminating my trigger items so stay tuned.
