Princess Time!!!
Every girl has an inner Princess! Have you unleashed her yet? On this past weekend I attended the Type A Parent Conference and on Friday Night there was a Disney Side Party where we could dress up as one of the Disney Characters. I actually wasn’t going to dress up because I didn’t want to end up spending too much money on a costume. I had read several of my fellow bloggers post in one of our groups chatting about how they were looking high and low for pieces to create the perfect Disney Side costume for the event. When you’re a little girl you always dream of being a Princess and one day finding Prince Charming. I figured why not recreate a Princess look since I own a slew of formal dresses that many times are only worn once.
It wasn’t until a week before the conference that I decided to create an inexpensive costume for under $30 if at all possible. I was up for the challenge and knew that it could be achieved. I absolutely CAN NOT thrift shop for clothes. I simply do not have the patience but thrift shopping formal wear is my thing! I know crazy right? I have found some of the most amazing formal dresses so with that thrifting gift hence which led to my recreation of one of my favorite Disney Characters. Not just any character but Disney’s Princess Tiana. Honestly when I was piecing the outfit together I was extremely pleased. I had no idea how popular my costume would be until I arrived at the Disney Side Party. I took pictures all night with fellow characters, pictures alone for conference attendees daughters and I even made over ten videos for parents to have to show their kids who made a grand appearance during their trips. The evening was a huge success. Stay on the look out you never know where this Princess may show up next.
