IS IT WORTH THE HYPE?
Hey Darlings! I’m back with another hidden gem. This time it’s another one that you could consider in my neck of the woods. There has been so much gossip about Juicy Crab. Folks that go to church with me swear by this place. Ya’ll already know that I’m super funny about my seafood. After all every place that sells seafood doesn’t necessarily sell “Great Seafood”. It was a client of mine birthday so the girls decided that we would take her to Juicy Crab for a “Girls Only” lunch except one of our sisters brought her Boo Thang. I guess she didn’t care about the memo. LOL! I’ve heard that there are other locations and I was happy that this one that just recently opened wasn’t a long drive across Atlanta.
Upon our arrival the staff was amazing. We were seated immediately and began to scope out the menu. Keep in mind this was my first time so I had to be sure that I ordered exactly what I wanted. I will admit that it took me a few minutes…well more like 15 minutes to make a decision. Hey! It’s seafood that were talking about. LOL! I decided on a half of pound of snow crab legs and shrimp with extra garlic sauce. It wouldn’t be right to not indulge. We all pretty much ordered the same with the exception of ordering calamari, sweet potato fries and crawfish. Here’s my disclaimer: I DO NOT EAT CRAWFISH!
Our waitress was a bit ditzy. I soon learned that she was a lost cause but the experience was still worth going and celebrating. I was surprised that it did not take our meals long to arrive. Now here is where it gets real. So I was thinking that there was going to be more food. NOPE! You literally need to order a pound of everything well at least I needed to do that! If you are a light seafood eater than the half pound is perfect for you but I needed a pound or maybe a pound and a half. Did I mention that it comes in a bag? Interesting! I will say that I definitely understand why they call it Juicy Crab. It’s definitely JUICY! Where I’m from we never get bagged prepared seafood.
All in all the food was very tasty and definitely satisfied my seafood craving. I just left my local gym only to notice that we have one opening LITERALLY in my backyard. Lord y’all better pray for me because I may be there everyday eating.
