**I was provided a 2016 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own.**
It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s Wonder Mom! Hi Mom’s I’m back again to share yet another amazing car review. I was super excited when I received an email from DriveShop about reviewing another Mazda from their 2016 Collection. My superhero family was quite excited too after all Wonder Mom’s need a superhero vehicle to save the day! Upon finding out that we would be receiving the 2016 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring to drive for a the week I began to conduct my own research online so when Mr. Jim came to deliver the vehicle I had a ton of questions. Although I haven’t received vehicles from any other company other than DriveShop I can definitely say that I hope that they are as efficient as DriveShop. The moment that Mr. Jim drops off any vehicle to me he always ensures that its spotless. Seriously he will clean a tire in my driveway before I come out my door if he spots one piece of grass. Now that’s amazing service and not to mention that he starts educating you on the vehicle from the outside to the inside which is another plus. My first question was does this car have the E-Loop system and he said no not this one. If you’re not familiar with the E-Loop System and want to read about my experience driving the 2016 Mazda 6 that had that feature click here. Let me tell you about this beauty!
I’m naturally a SUV girl. I love big cars and will drive just about any type of car and what I first fell in love with in the 2016 Mazda CX-5 was how spacious the vehicle was and the amenities. I will admit that I have gotten spoil with having extras readily at my finger tips and the CX-5 did not disappoint. My top 10 features of the 2016 Mazda CX-5 are:
- 184 Horsepower: 185 LB-FT Torque
- 5 Passenger Seating
- Bose AM/FM/CD/MP3/SAT 9-SPK
- Multi-Function Commander Control
- Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS with EBD & Brake Assist)
- Dynamic Stability Control (DSC)
- Traction Control System (TCS)
- Smart City Support System
- Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA)
This vehicle was fully equipped and perfect for A Wonder Mom like myself. I’m not your typical Soccer Mom but A Wonder Mom. My day-to-day activities change at a moments notice and that’s why this is the perfect car for a busy mom and a family. I had to make a short trip on last week to head to my son’s college and the highway drive in this vehicle was amazing. While on the road I had the comfort of being alerted if I was too close to a vehicle or if I was about to make a lane change I was informed if a vehicle was too close and that’s a plus especially for me since I travel a lot. This is a feature that can be turned off but for me its an added bonus because if I were to purchase this vehicle for my son I would have that added security that he would receive alerts while driving. Mazda has taken extra precautions to ensure that their drivers are safe.
Where didn’t we go in the 2016 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring? We headed to the Decatur Book Festival this weekend to check out the array of books that they had available and were able to meet a few authors along the journey.
The book festival was full of so many books, in fact it was a book heaven for mini me and he found a few great finds. BJ and I found some great Shakespeare books and the kettle corn that we scored made the trip extra sweet.
Our Mazda adventures led us down to Atlantic Station. What better way to spend the day than Downtown with the kids playing and enjoying a delicious King of Pop treat. If you ever in the Atlanta area please make sure that you try their delicious healthy popsicle.
During our Mazda adventures we took a trip down to IKEA to shop for a bit and for MJ to play in their play area. He can’t get enough of IKEA. BJ decided that he was strong enough to hold their sign up so I snapped a photo. LOL
Although we had many adventures in the CX-5 I can truly say that each and every time that I drove this vehicle I felt like A Wonder Mom! The fact that I knew that my kids were riding in a vehicle that has taken safety to another level gave me the piece of mine for my family. Mazda has some geniuses over in their development department because I noticed during my test drive that they made several additions for 2016:
- Added Electric Parking Brake
- The MAZDA CONNECT Infotainment system on a 7 in color touch screen
- LED Headlights for Touring and Grand Touring Models (helps when you live near loads of deers)
- Rain-sensing windshield wipers
- Engine immobilizer anti-theft system
- Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
Now do you see why I only Wonder Moms drive this vehicle? The kids were not the only one to have all of the fun. I was able to hit the golf range and get some shopping all while taking a mini road trip. Needless to say that I was thankful for the spacious trunk.
The family and I give this vehicle a thumbs up and if you’re A Wonder Mom then this is indeed the vehicle for you and your superhero family. Stay tuned to see what vehicle Wonder Mom and her superheroes with drive next. Which one do you want us to review next?
